The ALSequestrian Team

Sponsored Rider Dani Altham

I'm 14 years old and I've been riding since I was two and independently riding at 3yrs old. I've attended pony club since three and and a half and have joined many riding clubs since. I've competed at many Royal shows over the years and competed in a vary of disciplines. I have two competitive horses that compete in showing, dressage and showjumping. I have had my little pony, Sparky, for 4.5 years now. I compete mainly in preliminary dressage and score very well. I also do a few novice tests. Sparky and I have won at Adelaide Royal and qualified for grand nationals twice. I compete in novice dressage, scoring well also, and hacking on my Galloway, Willow. My aspirations and dreams are to get willow up and going in the showring and in the dressage arena (compete in higher levels) Also to qualify willow for Grand Nationals. My future dreams are to ride over overseas in either dressage or show riding.

I’m 30 years old, live locally (Pampoolah) and love Showjumping! 2017 has brought new beginnings as I’ve got a couple of exciting new horses, two beautiful warmbloods, with all the talent in the world! At the moment we are hovering around the 1.20 mark. My short term goal is to have the new mare to Mini Prix level (next year or two). My long term is more directed at the new gelding, he is a bit younger. I would love to make world cup level with him one day. He has loads of spunk & will make me work for it I’m sure! For now, it’s one step at a time, building our partnership/getting to know and trust each other (and having a blast while doing it!). I’ve also got a rising 3y/o by Finch Farm Chill who should be under saddle by November this year who I’m counting down the days for. Then there’s my old boy Shiloh, who I’ll pull out from time to time if I’m wanting an easy ride and a good chance of a ribbon  I’m so lucky to have the support of my amazing partner Steve, who enjoys watching me, and carting me (and our two be gorgeous children) all over the country side to comps. We have a ball on our weekends travelling, not just competing but quality family time. Super excited to be a part of the ALS Equestrian team and look forward to great things ahead!
